Bilbao has more than 6,300 car parking spaces. We recommend that you use one of the numerous car parks in the city centre: they’re conveniently located and easily accessible.
Park and ride facilities are available at several of the city’s metro stations. Which means you can leave your car at the station and use public transport to easily get to wherever you’re going in Bilbao.
There are park and ride facilities at the Leioa, Etxebarri and Ansio (BEC) metro stations. In appreciation of their contribution to sustainable development, travellers who use these facilities in combination with public transport are entitled to a reduced fare.
To benefit from this reduced fare, you have to use some form of public transport (see the Barik card) and make sure you leave the station car park before it closes.
OTA FOR VISITORS
Heavy traffic zone: Bilbao city centre.
Times: Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm; Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
Maximum permitted parking time: 3 hours in both the green and the blue zones.
Residential areas: Outside the centre of Bilbao.
Times: Monday to Friday from 9am to 1:30pm and from 3 to 7pm.
Parking is free on Saturdays. Maximum permitted parking time: 5 hours in the green zone and 3 hours in the blue zone.
